Who We Are….

Well, you can’t describe Byerland Church members in one sentence. We all come from different places. Some far away, some close. Some of us grew up in Lancaster County, and some of us in another country. We’ve belonged to different denominations in the past, or none at all. We’re young, middle aged, and old. We’re Short and tall. Some of us are Hispanic, black, white, and Asian. Some of us are farmers, construction workers, nurses, teachers, and students. A few of us are retired and enjoying life. We’re single. We’re married. Some of us have children, and some don’t….

The list can go on and on. The most important thing you need to know about us, is that we are a family. Our church is a family of believers, who are intentionally growing together as disciples of Jesus Christ! Some of us are new to this. Some have been at it a long time. While others are trying to find out what it could mean in their life to be a disciple of Jesus. No matter where Byerland Church members are in their walk with Jesus, we are a family, and we stand together shoulder to shoulder as we experience this wonderful journey called life.

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”  -Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV
